In the UK here and have had a lot of lag this evening. D/Ced 7 times during Vizunah Square (but fortunately was able to reconnect). Other UK guildies were also getting hit with lag d/cs this evening and during the same mission.

It's ANet blowing their own servers up so they have to spend all their GW2 cash on fixing it so they don't have to announce that there is in fact nothing to tell us about GW2.

I usually have major lag issue, but I've been getting pretty good ping with the occassional rubberband effect and fast map loading time and non-lag in AB/RA even during the double weekend since Regina announce maintainance twice. so I guess its better then before.

US here and Ive been getting major lag and rubberbanding. Its unplayable for me atm

Hope whatever it is they fix it.

NF is the worst for me. I avoid that place at all costs from 7pm-12am est. Every other campaign works fine. the second i step foot in vabbi, ill disco, and not be able to reenter the zone.

i've read that the recent lag has been due to GW2, they have taken GW off the original server and put it on "Steam".. so they can run GW2 on their server with no lag... therefore we are left with "Steam's" server which cant cope with the size of GW.

It does not matter where he read it, or even if it is true or not. What matters is that he has said it and that people will translate it as; "Anet stopped caring about GW1", which they will then translate again as "Anet fails". They'll assume that it must be true and use it as a mantra for the whole thread, or any other future thread regarding lag.

Major lag here as well. Thought it was my connection to Guild Wars, but seeing as everyone is having it as well, can't be on my end. :P

I can chat on vent, MSN, and even browse the internet just fine. But only when I play GW do I get massive lag and DC's. Anywhere from 17k-25k pings and a ton of freezes. Played WoW for a bit the other day (realized why I hated it), but didn't have any lag whatsoever.

So either it's my connection to Guild Wars only, or it's something server side.

400-700 ping but so far the past 2 days anytime between 7-8pm CST i randomly, immediately err7 and can log back in fine. as if the game kicks my char but the connection is still available.

and yesterday many dc's for people in my party (euros/east coast)

listen its not our connection to the servers.. its that the new gw servers they are running the game on can't cope with the amount of players playing and therefore produces lag.

Some of the international servers were merged to the american/european and that adds more then it's fair share to the workload. The only real way to settle this is either some real fancy software for handling the packets coming thru or reopen those servers.

Bump this pissing me off so much now we lose AT matchs because every time we get 3 or 4 people error out.
